Meet Dr. Sean Rajaee

Dr. Sean Rajaee is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive hip and knee replacements, with a strong clinical and research interest in advancing technologies within total joint arthroplasty. Following his fellowship at Harvard University Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Rajaee joined the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, ranked #2 in the country by the 2022 US News and World Report. Dr. Rajaee practices at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he serves on the academic faculty as an Adult Reconstruction Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Rajaee completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Following his undergraduate studies, he obtained a Master’s of Science in Global Medicine at the USC Keck School of Medicine where he co-founded the student organization WorldMed, currently an organization with international presence. Dr. Rajaee later earned his Medical Doctorate from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. After graduating from Tufts, Dr. Rajaee completed his orthopaedic surgical training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

At Cedars-Sinai, he was honored as chief resident during his final year and was the recipient of the Dean’s award for Academic Achievement. He then completed a hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship at the prestigious Harvard University Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he focused on obtaining special expertise in minimally invasive techniques and complex revision total joint surgery. Dr. Rajaee has published over 40 scientific manuscripts and his research has been presented at over 50 national and regional orthopaedic meetings. He is actively involved in advancing techniques within hip and knee replacement surgery including being at the forefront of robotic joint surgery. Dr. Rajaee’s training with some of the pioneers in joint replacement surgery at Cedars-Sinai and Harvard has enabled him to offer hip and knee replacements through minimally invasive, muscle-sparing techniques allowing patients to recover more quickly and return to their active lifestyles.
